Of the numerous events produced each year by EVI and Aramark, the annual Ring of Stars celebration is a favorite. This October gathering in the Arizona desert represents the culmination of a great year of projects, but more important, is symbolic of what Aramark is all about…the 270,000 employees who toe the front lines with every sunrise to create millions of customer impressions…or as President and CEO Eric Foss likes to say, the all-important “Moments of Truth”.
To wear the colors of Aramark is a badge of honor. The team is infused with a spirit of heart and soul…backed by a “dream it-do it” mindset…and the Ring of Stars is designed to recognize the 250 employees who best embody everything the company stands for. If you’ve made it to the ring, you’re indeed in elite company, and that’s exactly the way it feels from the minute the honorees touch down at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge outside of Phoenix.
A regal welcome reception sets the tone. The emotion builds…the anticipated moment arrives. A call to order sets the legendary Parade of Stars in motion, leading the way into a regal Gala which serves as the inspiring backdrop for the Ring induction ceremony. Each person takes his rightful place on stage, a crowning moment representing years of dedication and sacrifice.
For the newest members of the Ring, motivation is high. Never content to stand still, these are human beings actively seeking performance at the next level, and the team has put together a meaningful program to serve as the catalyst. Day two kicks-off with an inspirational session with Foss and members of Aramark’s leadership team. The morning builds in a steady arc, culminating with the highly-charged keynote of Patrick “Blake” Leeper…the American Blade Runner!
Teamwork sessions follow, tangible blueprints for activating a heightened sense of purpose. The main attraction is an interactive exchange with famed conductor Boris Brott, where the Aramark team actually becomes an orchestra under his baton. This is fuel for the long run, sustenance to take home to the workplace and inspire the next generation of stars.
Finally, there’s the sheer fun of it all. A carefree afternoon in the warm desert air with team mates and loved ones. Activities abound…something for everyone.
And then, as the last rays of sun drift over the western sky…entertainment lights up the night. It’s a full-on Western hoe down at Corona Ranch with the rollicking legends of good times… “Big and Rich”.
Ring of Stars, a continuation of the long run of success for Aramark and EVI. Recognition done right for the well-deserving best of the best who proudly wear the Aramark logo on their sleeves.
