100 Year Celebration

In the summer of 2006, Cemex, a global building solutions company and one of the world’s largest producers of cement, counted on EVI as a strategic partner in the production of its 100th anniversary celebration.
EVI was responsible for the complete design, planning, and production of the event, including a custom 30,000 square foot tented venue on the grounds of the company headquarters in Monterrey, Mexico. The enormous 350’ x 60’ x 28’ structure was purpose built for the event.
Creative décor involved unique gobo designs from 50 MAC 2000 Profile lighting instruments along with 100 traditional lights. The projected instruments were created with high-resolution 20,000 DPI glass patterns based on a surreal looking palette of clouds, trees and leaves.
The main event was a black tie affair with an elegant dinner, keynote presentations and the world-class entertainment of Latin superstar Alejandro Fernandez.
The Cemex celebration exemplifies EVI’s ability to think outside of the traditional venue box, and demonstrates the team’s experience of delivering a full range of services internationally as well as domestically.
