2017 was a milestone year for McAfee. No longer Intel Security, McAfee became a fully independent company. Reflective of this theme, in 2017 McAfee re-branded its industry leading customer conference as the MPOWER Cybersecurity Summit.
At the Aria Hotel in Las Vegas, the meaning behind MPOWER was on full display as McAfee partnered with Executive Visions to produce the industry’s first on-demand, face-to-face event.
At MPOWER, the 3,000 global attendees shaped the agenda together to focus on those things that were most important to them and their businesses.
Utilizing an interactive app called Poll Everywhere, the group voted real-time on every aspect of the conference…choosing the content…driving the conversation, and hand-picking from a compelling set of topics and presenters. A dynamic group of McAfee executive leadership, industry luminaries and top McAfee customers served-up the content. It was a one-of-a-kind event that truly placed attendees in the driver’s seat!
EVI producers framed the conference with an open and imaginative set design. A surround configuration placed the presenters right in the middle of the action, creating an immersive, stadium-type atmosphere. A long and angular stage running nearly the length of the room riffed on the shape and angles of the new McAfee logo. The configuration allowed the stage to be treated as distinct zones, with various parts becoming active depending on the content being delivered. Keynote presenters migrated the full length of the stage, creating a sense of connection with all members of the audience. At times, sections of the stage were treated as pods, allowing easy and interesting transitions to technical demonstrations and onstage conversations. Lighting was used creatively to track speaker movement along the stage, producing a dramatic sense flow and energy.
Each side of the room featured a massive 12’ x 80’ widescreen. Content was mirrored on each side, allowing clear visibility from any seating position. Both ends of the set were anchored with large 3-D replicas of the McAfee shield logo backed by LED panels. These “end-zone” treatments completed the immersive environment and stood as an ever-present reinforcement of the power and strength of the new McAfee brand.
EVI collaborated with multiple agencies and teams to design and produce a full slate of creative media…from branded motion graphics, to keynote presentations…thematic opening videos…customer videos…to a final documentary/highlights video that was shot and edited real time and used to open the final general session.
With audience engagement at an all-time high, McAfee succeeded in communicating its strategic and visionary goals, delivering relevant and cutting-edge content, and bolstering relationships with its top global customers and partners.
The comprehensive agenda also featured a packed slate of targeted, highly technical breakouts and training sessions, offering tangible knowledge to help participants optimize their security and compliance initiatives.
In addition, a robust sponsor expo enabled sponsors/partners to elaborate on their company offerings while taking part in a vigorous exchange of ideas.
