For more than a decade, Executive Visions has partnered with David Foster and the David Foster Foundation to produce the Annual Miracle Gala and Concert. The event is a premier date on the calendar of influential Canadians, and brings out the who’s who of the philanthropic, business and entertainment communities. In 2017, the Gala was held in Vancouver, BC at the Rogers Arena, and carried special significance because it marked the event’s 30th anniversary!
With the goal of raising funds to support Canadian families with children undergoing organ transplants, the event is produced with a balance of fund-raising activities and entertainment. Attendees contribute in a number of ways, including Family Sponsorships and the wildly popular Foster Foundation Auction. The fund-raising portion of the program is a benchmark example in the world of charitable events, and a bevy of stars support the proceedings, including Oprah, Dr. Phil, Rick Hansen, Katharine McPhee, Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf. The program was hosted by CNN Anchor Michaela Pereira and TV Personality Ben Mulroney.
Befitting the event’s 30th Anniversary, a record $10.2 million was raised to support the Foundation’s efforts.
Elite musical entertainment is, of course, a major draw for the gathering. Each year, Foster assembles an A-List roster of performers to celebrate the occasion. The 2017 Concert featured Foster and his acclaimed rhythm section, plus a virtual hit parade of stars. Gracing the stage were Caroline Campbell, William Joseph, Matteo Bocelli, Laura Bretan, The Tenors, Jay Leno, CeeLo Green, Carly Rae Jepsen, the Queen of country music Reba McEntire and the incomparable rock icon…Steven Tyler.
