EVI, David Foster and McDonald’s have a long history of producing some of the top entertainment in the world of corporate events. Always aiming to raise the bar, the team recently partnered to produce the Closing Concert for the 2014 McDonald’s Worldwide Convention.
Honored to be working on their third McDonald’s Worldwide, EVI and Foster once again created the perfect mix of legendary artists and contemporary chart toppers to keep the 16,000 franchisees surprised and celebrating.
Foster approaches this type of event with all of the talents that have made him one of the most awarded record producers in history…musical virtuosity, creative artistry, a passion for collaboration and a no compromise mindset. With over 40 years of music making under his belt with legends like George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Madonna, Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, Andrea Bocelli and Chicago, he is uniquely positioned to fulfill EVI’s vision of producing inspirational one-off performances.
Gathered on stage were all of the ingredients for a musical masterpiece…
David Foster, Sting, Adam Levine of Maroon Five, Ne-Yo, Tessanne Chin from “The Voice”, Jonathan Antoine of “Britain’s Got Talent” and violin virtuoso Caroline Campbell.
With Foster, custom means more than a powerhouse line-up, it also means producing unique arrangements for every song, and crafting a host of duets, medleys and surprise performances. Beginning with the original charts, he collaborated with each artist to weave his own special ingredient into the mix. The result was two hours of stunning originality, leaving no doubt in the audience’s mind that “this was created just for us”.
Ne-Yo opened with a set of his unique R&B/Pop sound, joined by Tessanne Chin on his hit “Incredible”…
Tessanne followed with a medley of Foster’s hits from “The Bodyguard”…
With momentum building, Adam Levine took the stage to perform his Maroon Five megahits…
And if that wasn’t enough, the show climbed higher with Sting laying down a mix of his legendary songs “Every Little Thing She Does is Magic”, “Message in a Bottle”, “Fields of Gold”, “Fragile”, “Every Breath You Take”, and “Desert Rose”.
Artists revel in playing with Foster and his a-list rhythm section, and the joy of the experience showed on their faces from the first note. This is music at the highest level, and it translates directly to audience appreciation and memories.
At the end of it all, in a fitting acknowledgement to this special night, the entire cast bid farewell with Foster’s new arrangement of The Beatle’s “Hey Jude”…with Sting appropriately taking the lead…a moment of moments which left the group standing in unison and already asking…what’s ahead for 2016.
